Speedy Granola

October 8, 2014 By: Amy1 Comment

This granola is speedy! You mix it right in your 9x13 pan...This recipe is a variation of “Golden Granola” found in a recipe book called Kids in the Kitchen by School Mate. We love to eat this for breakfast…and a few of my kids think they should also have it as an after school snack!

Speedy Granola

½ cup margarine

4 cups regular oats

½ cup coconut

¼ cup honey

A few shakes of cinnamon

½ tsp salt

¼ cup brown sugar

Turn the oven on to 350 degrees. Put the margarine a 9×13 pan and put it in the oven to melt. Take it out when it is melted. Then add the rest of the ingredients (except the brown sugar) to the pan and stir. Bake 15 minutes and then stir. Stir every five minutes after that. Bake time should total 25 to 30 minutes. When it is “golden” take it out of the oven and stir in ¼ cup brown sugar. Let it cool and serve as a cereal with milk. Yumm.
