Logistically packing a sleeping bag and a pillow in an emergency kit for each family member is just not practical! It would take a full room to house such kits.
Solution!
So….over time a simple solution has come to mind. Buy a small fleece blanket and an emergency foil blanket for each person. Then the fleece would provide comfort, and the emergency blanket will lock in the heat! The cost of these two items is minimal. They are small and take up little room in your kit.
If there is time during an emergency, grab a sleeping bag, but otherwise it will be nice to know you have another viable option.
