How to Make Leftover Pasta Taste Freshly Cooked

May 22, 2018 By: Amycomment

After having been married for over twenty years, you’d think I could always judge the right amount of pasta to cook. Ummm….nope. So with a little ingenuity we came up with this plan to make leftover pasta taste like new. My ten year old daughter kindly took pictures of how to reheat pasta…since she loves pasta leftovers.

REHEATING A COUPLE SERVINGS OF PASTA–

First: Fill a microwaveable dish ½ full of water

Second: Put the dish in the microwave for two minutes on high (if you are reheating about a cereal bowl size amount of pasta). The water should be close to boiling. Remove the bowl with a hot pad.

Third: Put the cold pasta into the hot water and wait about 60 seconds for the pasta to get warm.

Fourth: Drain off the water and the pasta will taste and appear like it has just been cooked!

(Obviously, be careful with the hot water…it gets close to boiling.) May you never waste pasta again :).
