Has your faucet seen better days? Try this makeover and help it look like new.
The hard water build up on my faucet made it look dirty. It has a brushed bronze finish so if I scrubbed it very hard the finish would scrub off, too. I was embarrassed by the look and cringed when someone asked to use our bathroom. In casual conversation one day, a friend of mine told me of a lady who took her faucets apart and sprayed them with a spray paint for metal.
Well, I could do that. I went and bought spray paint. We turned the water off to our faucet and took it apart. I soaked the faucet in cleaner and scrubbed it clean not worrying if I took off the finish. I carefully masked the areas where I couldn’t get paint. Then I spray painted each individual piece. After it dried, we put it back together. I was so excited at the way it looked; I just had to share this brilliant idea.
It has been a few months now and the faucet still looks great.
