“Mom, I need mascara again.”
It feels like every time I go to the store the list contains “mascara.” I am frugal to the core so it got me thinking. How can we stretch the mascara dollars a little further?
My daughters love volumizing mascara. The brush is awesome, but the amount in the container is less than the amount that comes in the least expensive mascara. The inexpensive mascara is almost two dollars cheaper.
Here’s the idea: When your volumizing mascara runs out, buy the cheaper mascara and use your volumizing brush. It is a little harder to push it into the container, but it works great. The lid screws on perfectly.
A second idea is to wash your used fancy mascara brush and throw away its container, then use the brush to separate your eyelashes after you put on your mascara with the regular brush.
It is only two dollars you say…well, how many containers of mascara have you purchased in your lifetime? The money adds up!
