The world in which we live has grown more secular…a lot of those who once believed in God have long since stopped teaching children that He is near. Hence the children never consider Him as a source of help and peace.
I want all to know that I know God lives. I also know He loves me…and He loves you. Some of the best direction I have been given in life is to write down how I see the hand of the Lord in my life. In an ongoing quest to watch for Him, I see His divine touch in my life. I call him “Heavenly Father”. I write in a special journal how my prayers are answered, promptings I receive, divine intervention in my life from Heavenly Father and from those He prompts to help me. Heavenly Father has giving me peace in answer to prayer too many times to number. Once He let me know exactly what was needed to help my little girl get better when the doctors didn’t know what was wrong. He warned my son and I of deer at the crest of hill that we would have hit. Heavenly Father sent a teacher to intervene on my behalf at a low point in my life. Heavenly Father has awakened me in the night right at a crucial moment. He has helped soften my heart to help me love others better and be patient with them…and on and on. That journal’s recordings have built me into a true believer. Heavenly Father is very much in the details of our lives.
Years ago while attending a university, I listened to my professor tell me to only believe things that you can prove scientifically. In my head the response of “That’s not true,” came immediately. I had a theory then. Now I have experimented on His existence all my life. You might not see Him, but He is there. My journal of His hand in my life may not prove His existence to you, but it does to me. When the full history of the earth is disclosed, we will be in awe at His aid to man. God is our Heavenly Father and He lives. He hears us and loves us. I know it. May we teach the children to find peace in Him.
