Let’s go on a treasure hunt! Kids’ minds are working and their feet are running…what a perfect game.
Years ago, the idea came to create a treasure hunt that you simply print out, shuffle the clues, and have a whole new experience each time. The only effort is in writing the last clue that leads to the treasure and then hiding the clues.
The reason this hunt works again and again is the wording of the clues. There are multiple options of where the next clue could be hidden and the kids have to search. For example, one clue reads, “The clue that is next is for real—It’s sitting in a window sill.” Honestly, how many windows are in your house? Or another clue says, “Good job searching, let’s go look some more—The next clue is located on a closet door.” Consider how many closets are in your house. The clues are so general that each time a clue is hidden it can change locations.
We have used this treasure hunt for years. We play it with just our family and we play it with friends. (I realize that it could be beat, if the kids really try to remember the clues…but make the rule that you have to follow the hunt in the right order or you forfeit the treasure. You can even leave some of the clues out, if you want it to be shorter.)

Have fun…your kids certainly will!
